It is so hard to believe that Peyton is already 5 yrs old! He will be in Kindergarten next year, my little baby.. 5 yrs ago we were worried and in tears over our little guy. He was born 6 wks early and in PICU for 9 days. He quit breathing when he was just a few hours old. We were told at first that he may have issues with his heart. I remember standing in the hallway with my husband and sobbing in his arms. We still don't have any true answers as to what was wrong with him. They were worried about his lack of crying in the hospital and ran tests on him. He had leads hooked all over his head for a full 24 hrs to monitor his brain activity, he had ultrasounds done on his brain every day, got no answers. He didn't speak his first word until he was 18 mths old, at age 3, he had a vocabulary of about 20 words. Now, at 5, you can't get him to be quiet. He started speech therapy at the age of 3, 3 days a week. Tomorrow I go sign the paperwork to have him moved down to 2 days a week. He has a great vocabulary, we just need to work on the articulation now. Time sure flies by so fast. It's hard to believe that my oldest will be 12 in just a few months. Ok, so here are some pictures from Peyton's big day.

Peyton wearing his new Batman costume from his friends Christian and Cameron.
On the day of his birthday we all went to see Disney on Ice : The Incredibles. We had a great time and were so exhausted after our fun weekend.
