We moved Daddy to a Rehab hospital last week. After getting the sleeping pill last week he slept for 24 hrs straight, and woke up completely coherent and fine. He can’t believe the stories we’ve shared of him over the 4 days he was awake. He is really weak, having a hard time getting around without assistance. He had that choking spell at the hospital and seems to be having ongoing issues with that. They had him on thinner liquids for awhile but 2 days ago they put him back on thickened meals again. He will be having a swallowing test done on Monday to hopefully let us know what’s going on with that. Right now his projected release date is next Friday, we’ll know more on Wednesday after their team meetings. He’s able to walk now about 100 ft with his rolling walker, and feeding himself better. I’ll update more later.. here are 2 pictures that were taken last week in the hospital that I snapped with my cell phone, Jeff was trimming daddy’s finger nails. This was before his incoherent stage! :-)
